The restoration process begins as soon as you call SERVPRO of Edison. We are open 24/7, and our technicians are trained and equipped to respond to any size disaster. Our representative will ask a series of questions regarding the damage which will help ensure that the SERVPRO team is properly equipped with the right materials needed to help restore your property to pre-fire condition.
Step 2: Inspection and Fire Damage Assessment
Inspection and assessment are important so that you can understand what the remediation and restoration process will entail, and other SERVPRO of Edison team will diligently inspect every aspect of your property so that they can understand the depth of the damage and develop a plan of action.
Step 3: Immediate Board-Up and Roof-Tarp Service
Fire damage can often damage the structure including roofs, windows, and exterior walls. SERVPRO of Edison will board up exterior damage and/or tarp the roof for additional security and to protect your home from more damage.
Step 4: Water Removal and Drying
If there is water damage as a result of putting out the fire, it is important that the extraction process begin immediately to prevent further damage. The SERVPRO of Edison team will then assess the extent of the damage, and place equipment such as dehumidifiers or air movers where they deem it necessary.
Step 5: Removal of Smoke and Soot
The SERVPRO of Edison team will use specialized techniques and equipment to remove smoke and soot from all impacted surfaces.
Step 6: Cleaning and Sanitation
As a part of the remediation process, our team will clean the affected items and structures using a variety of specialized techniques perfected over years in the remediation industry to make your property look "Like it never even happened."®

Restoration is the final step in the remediation process and may involve large or small repairs.
