Sump Pump Failure in Edison
This basement in Edison flooded due to a sump pump failure. The rain storm wasn't especially strong and the power in the house remained on for the duration of the storm, however the sump pump in the basement failed to kick on and pump out any ground water that was seeping in. Early the next morning the homeowner found the basement flooded about 2 feet deep. SERVPRO of Edison's owner, Danny Aller was the first to arrive on the scene - you can see him in the "Before" photo looking down into the basement to assess the damage. In the "After" photo you can see that SERVPRO of Edison has successfully pumped out all the water, removed all the carpet and padding and placed dehumidifiers and fans to continue drying the basement.
