Storm sends 3 feet of water into basement

Heavy rains and flash flooding were too much for the sump pump to handle.  Storm waters flooded three feet high in this basement laundry room.

In the "Before" picture you can see laundry baskets and detergent containers floating on top of the water.  SERVPRO of Edison arrived to pump out the basement.  

In the "After" picture you can see what a difference our services can make in a short amount of time.  There was still work to be done after the bulk of the water was pumped out - such as removing the damaged personal contents.  The washer & dryer were almost completely submerged and therefore no longer safe to operate.  SERVPRO can handle all of the content removal and disposal, as well as the drying and restoration process.
