Moldy Basement in Woodbridge, NJ
This unoccupied basement apartment flooded and then sat for weeks before the homeowners discovered it. By that time, mold had grown 4 feet high on all of the walls and on most of the contents. SERVPRO of Edison was called in to remediate the problem.
The first priority on any water damage or mold remediation is the health and safety of anyone who is in the work area. SERVPRO of Edison follows IICRC Standards for setting proper containment, ventilation and air filtration. Once the area was safe to work in, SERVPRO of Edison’s technicians donned the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and set to work removing drywall and effected contents. The remaining concrete structure was then treated with an antimicrobial spray to protect against mold from reoccurring.
The after picture was taken less than 24 hours after SERVPRO of Edison first arrived on site.
